Global Guardian CEO Dale Buckner joined NewsNation live as France’s protests entered their sixth week, breaking down why numbers are declining even as risk of another flashpoint remains.
“It only takes one incident to catch fire and this really explode again, the way it did two weeks ago.”
Dale explained that protest turnout has fallen sharply, from a peak of over half a million demonstrators to roughly 75,000, driven by a sustained government response of 70,000 police deployed each weekend and ongoing negotiations with the farmers, rail, and education unions. He also flagged November 5 as the next key date to watch, as those unions and student groups organize a weekday demonstration likely to draw large crowds, warning that extremist elements hijacking otherwise peaceful protests remains the real risk for organizations with people or operations in the region.
