Emergency Response

In the wake of hurricane Maria, Global Guardian pre-positioned personnel and assets in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands on behalf of global hospitality clients. Within hours of the storm passing, Global Guardian established satellite communications, secured membership clients’ sites, and continued the evacuation of client personnel and hotel guests.

Tracking Portal

During the November 13, 2015, terrorist attacks in Paris, Global Guardian’s tracking platform identified clients in the vicinity of the attacks and used that information to determine the safety of a majority of a member client’s travelers. Global Guardian’s 24/7 Operations Center contacted the travelers and transported them to safety.

Medical Support

A client in Brazil used her Global Guardian mobile phone application to call Global Guardian’s 24/7 Operations Center to report that she was suffering from pain in her eye. One of our board-certified ER physicians provided a tele-medical consultation, contacted an ophthalmologist nearby, and launched our Brazil team for pickup and transport.

Cyber

A Global Guardian corporate client reported a possible ransomware attack that had paralyzed its infrastructure, resulting in large-scale business disruption. Global Guardian deployed its cyber team within 24 hours to identify the attack, lead the response, containment, and remediation, and build defenses to deter future attacks.

Custom Security

A Global Guardian corporate client was concerned about increasing instability in the Persian Gulf. Global Guardian developed comprehensive shelter-in-place and evacuation plans for multiple offices in the region. In the event of an emergency, Global Guardian’s in-country teams would execute the plan by transporting clients to a safe location.

Medical Evacuation—Air Ambulance

An Air Ambulance member traveling in Kenya was in a car accident. Upon notification, Global Guardian dispatched a team to the hospital, provided a guarantee of payment, translation services, and air medical transport back to Washington, D.C. Through the Air Ambulance membership, the patient paid no out-of-pocket expenses for an evacuation that cost more than $175,000.
