OVERVIEW

MIDDLEASTMAP-02

LOCATION: Middle East

SERVICE:

On 28 February 2026, the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iran. Iran responded with missiles and drones targeting critical infrastructure, defense facilities, and civilian sites across the region, triggering large-scale airspace disruptions and stranding thousands of travelers throughout the Middle East. Within hours, families and corporate clients across industries began activating Global Guardian for intelligence, evacuation support, and crisis response.

Global Guardian had anticipated the strikes. Beginning on 20 February, the intelligence team issued proactive advisories recommending clients avoid or reconsider travel to Israel and Gulf Cooperation Council states. On 27 February, hours before the first strikes, Global Guardian distributed an intel report assessing that U.S. military action was likely within hours. When strikes began the following morning, Global Guardian's clients had critical advance intelligence to act on—and the team was ready. Ground teams mobilized, evacuations were coordinated, and missions were executed across a deteriorating operating environment.

challenges

  • Rapidly evolving threat environment: Active missile and drone strikes created unpredictable security conditions, requiring continuous reassessment of routes, timing, and exposure across the region.
  • Large-scale airspace disruption: Strikes across multiple countries throughout the region triggered widespread airport closures and flight cancellations, eliminating commercial travel options and requiring ground-based evacuations across borders to reach viable airspace.
  • Compressed timelines and complex logistics: Cross-border ground movements required real-time documentation verification, route planning, and continuous communication under volatile conditions.

MISSION AND RESPONSE

Global Guardian was tasked with executing a large-scale, multi-client crisis response across the Middle East, coordinating intelligence, ground evacuations, and continuous client communication simultaneously throughout the operation.

Upon activation, Global Guardian’s 24/7 Operations Center restructured into dedicated mission tracks, separating routine operations from Middle East response to preserve speed and focus. Experienced operators worked around the clock, supported by intelligence, account management, and logistics personnel running continuous shifts throughout the operation. Global Guardian’s teams executed without pause—protecting and delivering clients to safety across a region under active threat.

Intelligence drove every decision. Global Guardian’s proactive threat assessment gave clients a critical window to prepare. Throughout the situation, the Operations Center and Intelligence Team maintained real-time situational awareness, monitoring evolving threats, airspace conditions, and regional instability to inform routing and timing decisions for each mission.

On the ground, Global Guardian deployed security-trained drivers and vehicles to execute cross-border evacuations across the region, leveraging established local relationships and in-country personnel to navigate a complex and rapidly changing environment. Each mission was individually assessed for safety before execution, with routes, border crossings, and documentation verified in advance. The Operations Center maintained continuous communication with travelers and client points of contact throughout every movement, providing real-time visibility from activation through arrival.

Across the full operation, Global Guardian supported more than 60 corporate clients spanning financial services, technology, energy, legal, consumer brands, and private families, executing 80 missions and supporting thousands of people throughout the region. Global Guardian maintains around-the-clock intelligence monitoring and stands ready to support Duty of Care clients with evacuation assistance and crisis response wherever conditions require.

ON THE GROUND

Mission A

Situation: A group of study abroad students from a major U.S. university were stranded in Dubai when strikes began.

Response: Some parents contacted Global Guardian directly. Within hours, vehicles were rolling to the waterfront hotel. Students crossed into Oman by road, overnighted in Muscat, and flew on to Europe the following day—all within 48 hours.

Mission B

Situation: A late-term pregnant traveler in the UAE needed to be evacuated with medical complexity requiring careful coordination throughout.

Response: Global Guardian moved her by ground through the Hatta crossing into Oman with medical team support throughout the movement. While in transit, the team worked to secure medical clearance for commercial aviation. From Muscat, she flew on to Europe with continuity of care end to end.

Mission C

Situation: A high-profile family vacationing in Dubai needed to move urgently when missiles began striking the region but struggled to secure a viable path out of the country.

Response: Within 30 minutes of contacting Global Guardian, vehicles were assigned. The family was driven from Dubai to Muscat, where Global Guardian leveraged local relationships to secure accommodations at a fully booked hotel. The aviation team arranged a private charter to Europe, and the family was home within hours of departure.

Mission D

Situation: Following damage to Dubai International Airport, a traveler required immediate cross-border evacuation with documentation and border crossing logistics requiring real-time coordination.

Response: Global Guardian coordinated a ground evacuation via the Al Batha crossing to Riyadh. The team verified the traveler's e-visa, deployed a security-trained driver and vehicle, and maintained continuous communication with both the traveler and the client throughout transit. The movement completed within approximately 48 hours of activation.
