LOCATION: United States

SERVICE: Duty of Care, COVID-19 Medical Support

SITUATION:
Companies across all industries have been faced with the same challenge—how to ensure employees' health and safety are top priority in in-person workplace settings amid the COVID-19 pandemic. With that, many employers have begun to implement regular COVID-19 testing as a way to identify and isolate positive cases and mitigate risk to other employees allowing for business continuity.

In the recent months, several Corporate Duty of Care clients have approached Global Guardian looking for a team to oversee the implementation of regular on-site COVID-19 testing capabilities for their employees and employee’s families. In addition, it was important for the client and their team to be able to monitor and be informed of positive results, as well as implement the testing procedures quickly.

RESPONSE:

Upon receiving the requests, the Global Guardian team immediately arranged to meet with each client to outline the critical requirements specific to their organization, including:

  • Type and quantity of tests
  • How to ensure the private information would be handled securely
  • The process of reviewing and informing the employer and employees of a positive result
  • The rollout of the testing process and communication plan

Meanwhile, Global Guardian’s Operations Center began vetting and reviewing HIPPA-compliant testing companies that could be utilized. After presenting the scope of work to each client, the team finalized the necessary procedures and began implementing the process within four days. In addition, on behalf of each client, Global Guardian developed standard operating procedures, as well as instructional employee handouts, to allow for a quick and seamless implementation.

Throughout the process, the Global Guardian main POC acted as the liaison between the clients, the testing companies, and Global Guardian’s medical team, reacting quickly when changes occurred to ensure that the testing procedures continued with ease. To date, the team has executed over 2,000 tests at 25 different facilities throughout the United States.

Thanks to Global Guardian’s well-established medical relationships and commitment to providing our clients with custom security solutions catered to their requirements, these Corporate Duty of Care clients have been able to implement testing procedures quickly and effectively to protect their employees and workplace.
