In 2025, Global Guardian supported a leading oil and gas company conducting fieldwork in Bangladesh, Mozambique, and Jamaica—nations with areas marked by political volatility, crime, and underdeveloped infrastructure. Missions included extensive travel to isolated oil logistics hubs rarely accessed by international travelers, and the client required a discreet yet high-assurance partner to safeguard its personnel. 

Over the course of the year, Global Guardian conducted approximately 15 secure missions across the globe. With routes crossing volatile regions and requiring multi-modal travel—including air and boat—our teams ensured every movement was seamless, secure, and responsive to real-time developments on the ground. 

CHALLENGES

Unstable security environment 
Following political unrest and a recent government overthrow, targeted violence—including multiple homicides near one of the client’s arrival airports—created heightened risk, particularly in regions with limited law enforcement presence. 

Geographically complex operations 
The client's travel spanned congested urban hubs and remote coastal zones, where infrastructure was underdeveloped and access required multi-modal transfers including boat crossings. 

Limited client bandwidth for field logistics 
With a fast-moving travel schedule, the client required an external partner to plan and execute security and transportation end-to-end without burdening their own personnel or diverting resources from core operations. 

MISSION AND RESPONSE

Operating in these locations requires adaptive planning and a deep understanding of local dynamics. From congested urban centers to remote coastal sites, Global Guardian delivered consistent protection and logistical support across every leg of the client’s missions—while removing the operational burden from their internal teams. With all movement coordinated through our 24/7 Operations Center, the client was able to focus on its core objectives while Global Guardian managed the complexity of secure travel and risk mitigation. 

Travel Security in a Challenging Operating Environment 
The client’s operations required secure transit and executive protection across several regions, including cities, commercial hubs, and remote marshy zones. Despite elevated threat ratings, Global Guardian successfully navigated logistical challenges and complex risk environments to keep the client safe and on schedule. 

Global Guardian’s role included: 

• Providing vetted local protection agents with deep knowledge of regional risk dynamics from Global Guardian’s network of on-the-ground teams. 
• Coordinating ground movements and airport transfers across multiple cities. 
• Conducting pre-trip intelligence briefings for travelers and key stakeholders and real-time monitoring via our 24/7 Operations Center. 
• Supporting on-the-ground transit, including navigating through high-crime and politically unstable areas. 

Mission Execution in Remote Bangladesh 
A remote location in Bangladesh represented the most logistically and operationally demanding segment of these missions. This location houses offshore oil tankers that serve as mobile drilling platforms for the client.  

While the client arranged for the marine transport, Global Guardian provided full protective coverage from point of entry to departure, with agents traveling alongside personnel by boat, car, and foot to maintain continuity of coverage. Our support was designed to integrate around the client’s existing travel plans and operational needs, enhancing security without disrupting their business and travel schedules.
