Global Guardian was engaged to provide multi-day executive protection in Baghdad for more than 100 high-level executives attending a series of strategic meetings with regional leaders.

Bringing such a large concentration of senior decision-makers into a region marked by political instability, pockets of terrorist activity, and unpredictable security threats required a comprehensive, high-level security approach.

The mission called for more than secure transportation—it demanded advanced planning, coordinated logistics, and continuous real-time intelligence to ensure that every executive could move safely and efficiently, without disruptions to their critical business objectives.

Challenges

MISSION AND RESPONSE

At the outset, our experienced project managers worked closely with the client to define mission requirements, establish secure itineraries, and provide all stakeholders with comprehensive briefings and daily schedules. To ensure the safety and seamless movement of more than 100 executives, Global Guardian executed a tightly coordinated ground operation backed by:

1. Armored Vehicle Deployment With an On-the-Ground Security Team

To support the scale of the mission, Global Guardian deployed four armored buses, four armored B6 Land Cruisers, six armed agents, and armed drivers. We partnered with an experienced expatriate security specialist who knew regional threats, local culture, and had established relationships with officials and authorities. They provided critical on-the-ground decision-making, translation assistance, and real-time tactical oversight.

2. Secure Movement Through Baghdad

Over five days, Global Guardian ensured the safe movement of more than 100 executives, including daily transportation to and from high-security locations inside Baghdad’s Green Zone. Armed drivers and security agents provided full coverage during all convoy movements without incident.

3. Local Coordination

Working closely with vetted and trusted on-the-ground agents, Global Guardian secured expedited access through checkpoints and sensitive areas. Our on-the-ground leader leveraged long-standing relationships to streamline airport arrivals and departures, assigning trusted porters and coordinating both transport and trail vehicles for each movement. Every transfer included primary and secondary vehicles to ensure safety, requiring additional logistics for every transfer.

4. Operations Center Oversight

Throughout the mission, Global Guardian’s 24/7 Operations Center served as “eyes in the sky,” monitoring the team’s every movement. The Operations Center remained in continuous communication with ground personnel, tracking local intelligence and threat alerts in real time to immediately adapt to emerging risks or disruptions.
