INCIDENT: Global Guardian responds to Hurricane Odile in Mexico

LOCATION: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

SERVICE: Emergency Aviation

SITUATION: Multiple Global Guardian clients were unable to fly home from Cabo San Lucas to the United States due to the devastation from Hurricane Odile.

RESPONSE: After Hurricane Odile hit Cabo San Lucas, the Mexican government initially closed the airport and airspace surrounding Cabo to everyone except government aircraft. They then began allowing only Mexican registered aircraft carrying humanitarian aid to fly in. Global Guardian's aviation team stepped in immediately by securing the use of Mexican executive aircraft and loading them with food, water, and medical supplies. With government permission, they flew these aircraft into Cabo, offloaded the required supplies to waiting personnel, and evacuated Global Guardian's clients transporting them safely back to the United States.
