A corporate client with a high-profile C-level executive faced inconsistencies and challenges with their executive’s existing residential security team and close protection detail. In need of an immediate overhaul, the client turned to Global Guardian for support with its extensive network of experienced agents and high service standards.

Mission and Response

With a short amount of time to stand up the RST detail, Global Guardian conducted discovery with leaders from the executive’s corporate security and estate teams, to understand the principal patterns of life — including their daily schedule, how often they entertain visitors, and their travel cadence — and any perceived threats.

The team developed a custom RST program built on the following:

Physical Security
Leveraging Global Guardian’s extensive network of experienced security professionals with proper state certifications, our project management team interviewed, hired, and trained armed agents to meet the 24/7 security requirements at two residences. We also onboarded a dedicated security director and team lead to report directly to Global Guardian’s senior leadership team, composed of seasoned professionals with backgrounds in special operations, federal law enforcement, and intelligence.

At the principal’s residence, agents conduct regular patrols daily — without disrupting the principal and their family — and maintain visitor and event logs. When the principal hosts large onsite events, Global Guardian is able to pull from its extensive network of agents to increase security presence. While there have been no incidents at the residences, the agents are prepared to triage, provide immediate emergency response, and coordinate with local law enforcement.

When the principal or their spouse leaves the residence, an agent drives them to their destination and accompanies them, maintaining a close distance. For visits to locations and venues outside their regular routine, the agent conducts advances to gather on-the-ground insights into potential threats and ensure a smooth transition to a new space.

Technical Security
After conducting site assessments to identify any security gaps and system issues, Global Guardian integrated its 24/7 monitoring platform into the existing camera network at the principal’s residences to track movements inside and outside the perimeter and provide access control for all visitors. By layering the technology into the program, the RST team can monitor the feed 24/7 to increase their field of vision over the property and react in real-time when an alert appears.

The team regularly inspects the cameras and hardware to ensure their functionality, reporting necessary maintenance or replacements.

Intelligence
At the start of the program, Global Guardian’s intelligence team conducted a thorough assessment of potential physical and digital threats to the principal and their family, considering their daily routine and travel patterns. The team regularly reports on local and travel risks, as well as risks specific to venues and events the principal attends. These reports inform the on-site team, enabling the agents to make informed decisions and proactively mitigate threats.

The RST is supported by the analysts in our 24/7 Operations Center and real-time intelligence platform — the principal and key stakeholders are updated to any security events via Global Guardian’s mobile application.
