Our team provided the client with a full pre-trip brief, including details about the local agent and the vehicle, relevant travel safety information and advice, and any recent security events and risks in the area. With high rates of crime in the country, our team advised that the clients keep a low profile while traveling, but also understood how important it was for the family to move about freely to enjoy sight-seeing. The agent overseeing the family’s security possessed local language skills and critical knowledge to mitigate the risks to travelers—and knew how to blend in as to not attract any attention, including dressing in clothes that were appropriate for every activity. At one point on the trip, the agent accompanied the family on a popular hike for tourists, shepherding them along the trails at a safe distance from other hikers and maintaining situational awareness of potential threats.
