The patient’s family contacted Global Guardian’s 24/7 Operations Center from a hospital in Cancun, where the patient was admitted. Anxious to get home, the family asked for assistance in transporting the patient to the East Coast of the United States to receive the necessary medical care. **RESPONSE:** After Global Guardian received the urgent phone call, the Air Ambulance team, including a board-certified physician, began to identify transportation options for the patient, coordinating with pre-vetted aircraft partners in our trusted network. With their consent, our physician reviewed the patient’s medical records from the Cancun hospital and consulted with the local physicians to confirm the patient was stable for flight. During this process, our team stayed in constant contact with the family, as well as the receiving hospital in the United States to ensure they were aware of the planning and transport details. The patient was transported by ground to the local airport, where a private medical aircraft was waiting. Once securely on board with a medic and a family member, the patient made the 1,200-mile journey home to be treated.     Thanks to Global Guardian’s swift response and existing relationships with vetted aviation partners, the patient and their family received their desired outcome withing 72 hours of the initial phone call: The ability to receive treatment and recover close to home. --- FROM THE MEMBER'S FAMILY: “All your diligence to get us home is greatly appreciated.
