INCIDENT: Significant increase in criminal activity at a mixed-use property complex

SITUATION:

Global Guardian was contacted by a client requesting immediate assistance to mitigate a significant increase in criminal activity at a mixed-use property complex. Although the property had a security firm on site, this security team was not sufficiently equipped, trained, or empowered to engage with unauthorized individuals trying to gain access to the property.

RESPONSE:

Upon arriving on site, the Global Guardian Team Leader met with the property manager, conducted liaison with local law enforcement, toured the property, and set up new enhanced security teams. By actively engaging with the property manager the Team Leader was able to develop a strategy to augment security surrounding access control areas near private recreation areas, parking garages, and residential areas.

The Global Guardian team actively and professionally engaged with individuals who were probing access to the property and de-escalated potentially violent situations. Within days of Global Guardian being on-scene, word had spread and there were less unauthorized individuals trying to gain access to the property. Publicly provided police crime statistics indicated criminal activity at the property was reduced by more than 50% after Global Guardian’s arrival.
